John (snr) & Margaret (nee Brown). If Richard was the son of
John (jnr), his actual first name could have been Robert, as a
Robert who would have been born about ca 1745 was married at
Holme-upon-Spalding-Moor in 1766 and who had many descendants,
the majority of whom lived in the East Riding of Yorkshire, the
Isle of Axhoilme, and the USA.
