William Robert Chafer (b.1881)
Taken at 12 Lindum Street, Scunthorpe, he was a lovely man with a twinkle in his eye, very dry sense of humour!!! much missed even after all this time.

Winchester Round Table, The Great Hall, Winchester Castle, Winchester, Hampshire, England
Winchester Round Table, The Great Hall, Winchester Castle, Winchester, Hampshire, England
A replica of the legendary King Arthur's Round Table. Refurbished by Henry VIII of England for Holy Roman Emperor Charles V's 1522 state visit (last repainted in 1789) and depicts a younger Henry himself sitting in Arthur's seat above a Tudor rose. The table itself is considerably older; dendrochronology calculates the date of construction to 1250-1280 (during the reign of Edward I) using timber from store felled over a period of years

Former home of the philanthropist Sir John Paul Getty II (born 7 Sep 1932 Eugene Paul Getty, USA died 17 Apr 2003) from 1986 and lived there until his death in 2003. Mick Jagger introduced Getty to cricket, he formed such an affection for the sport that in 1992 he had a replica of The Oval built on the grounds, with the Queen Mother and Prime Minister John Major attending the first match.Getty had a library added to the house to accommodate his rare book collection, which includes may be the earliest English manuscript, a 7th century Historia Ecclesiastics by Eusebius Pamphili (born abt. 263 died 339), Bishop of Caesarea, Palestine in 314, and four leaves from the only remaining medieval illustrated biography of St. Thomas Beckett.
