and from Eileen Jeavons..
Sometime ago you very kindly sent me information regarding the Spindley family.
I have had another opportunity of looking into the history and found a couple of pages on Ancestry.com which I sent to you from their site. John Spindler marrying Ann Brewer 1853 Oct - Dec Volume 7a Page 1231. I have ordered the certificate. You will see that John has been squeezed in between the other names on the page.
In ten days time I am going to Market Rasen with my mother and will visit Serpentine Street, take photos and send you them by e-mail. When I lived there, up to 1965, Serpentine Street was a double row of terraced houses. I'll be interested to see what it's like now.
I'm also visiting Buslingthorpe but I gather you have photos of the church yard there.
We're also going to the Lincolnshire Archives. I'm looking for the marriage of Alfred Spindley to Florence Eastment in 1925/6. Alfred was son of John Spindley and Elizabeth Foster but have drawn a blank as to who their parents were on both sides of the family. My mother's mother was Alice Eastment, sister to Florence.
Best regards,
Eileen Jeavons

IN MEMORIAM.
SPINLEY.In loving: memory of our dear father, John Spinley, who departed this life on June l8th, 1900. In that blest kingdom we shall be From every mortal trouble free: No sighs shall mingle with the songs Resounding- from immortal tongues.
O long- expected day begin, Dawn on this world of woe and sin; Fain would he leave this weary road To sleep in death, and rest in God. Inserted by his loving son and daughter, John and-A. R. Sp"nley.
