I am in receipt of your letter of May 2nd and in compliance therewith I have
paid into the Bank of Montreal, London ¹47=10=0 to the credit of a "Deposit
Account" in your name, which will bear interest and is withdrawable by you on
Seven days notice.
Herewith I enclose you the Bank pass-book.
Please sign the enclosed form of Receipt, and also the enclosed yellow card
with a specimen of your Signature for me to hand to the Bank, and return them
to me as soon as you receive this letter.

J.E. Rains is probably John Evans Rains, a nephew of Margaret Clay Rains.
