OBITUARY
MR, DANIEL O'LEARY The death has occurred of Mr. Daniel Parsons O'Leary, of Clarence Road, Northcote, at the age of 76. A well-known resident of Northcote for many years, Mr. O'Leary was a member of the firm of O'Leary Brothers and Downs, Limited, seedsmen. He is survived by Mrs. O'Leary, one daughter and one son. His elder son, Corporal Leslie O'Leary, was killed in the last war.

OBITUARY.
MR. D. P. O'LEARY. RESIDENT OF NORTHCOTE. A well-known resident of Northcote for many years, Mr. Daniel Parsons O'Leary, has died, aged 76. Born in Victoria, Australia, in 1863, Mr. O'Leary came to New Zealand with his parents at the age of six. He commenced his business career as an employee of Hurst and Sons, grain and produce merchants. In 1894 he set up a business in Queen Street in partnership with his brother, Mr. S. O'Leary, and was joined six months later by Mr. James Downs, thus establishing the present firm of O'Leary Brothers and Downs.
Mr. O'Lcary, who retired from active participation in the business six months ago, was an enthusiastic member of the Remuera and Waitemata Bowling Clubs, being a past president of the latter club. He served for some years on the committee of the Northcote School, and at the time of his death was patron of the Waitemata Horticultural Society. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. L. S. Righton, of Remuera, and one son, Mr. G. D. O'Leary, of Matamata. An elder son, Corporal Leslie O'Leary, was killed in the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
