The Storeys lived in Old Goole, the weddin was around high tide, Mr. Storey had to tip all the bridge keepers at the docks to ensure his daughter got to chruch on time. | |

Freda Chapman, 20, schoolteacher, single, has Altzeimers. became friendly with a German prisoner of war, who stayed over here and became a successful businessman. Parents objected, broke up the romance, never found anyone else. He was a good bloke, it would have been a good match. Self. Rita Fretwell, 20 Freda's friend. Auburn hair, secretary, attractive but remained single. | |

Manager for Sugar cooperation. Lives in Lincoln. Mike Maw. Also from Tetley, Goeff ramsden's nephew. B.Sc Agriculture, commissioned 2nd LT. National Service. Had Curlews farm killed by careless drunk driver on road between Epworth and Belton age about 36. Long standing Isle of Axholme family. A Maw married a Stovin daughter and Capt Maw RN, built the Hall at Tetley. Another Capt. Maw, army was killed at the Siege of Badajoz in 1812. Self. Jean Whiteley, still lives in Crowle, ran a beauty parlour and ladies' hair dresser. Married but divorced. Isobel Proctor, married with family ,lives in Crowle. Brian Chapman, age 3 before his mother cut his curls. Apparently she was in floods of tears when that happened. | |
