The 1901 Census RG13/2760, Folio 120, page 10 has Samuel Shaw (9) and George Shaw (5) as sons of Richard Shaw (39) and Emily Taylor Shaw (37) in Brierley Hill, Staffordshire. Richard was a coal miner, and there were 5 other children. Brierley Hill was in the Stourbridge Registration District. Richard Shaw married Emily Taylor Jan-Mar 1888, Stourbridge 6c 153, so the eldest child may be from an earlier marriage. One of the other children was Sarah (13). Samuel Shaw's birth is Jan-Mar 1892, Stourbridge 6c 221. George was born in Bromley, Staffordshire, according to the Census, and I can't find it so I can't identify the correct Registration District for him. Emily Shaw (43) died Jan-Mar 1907, Stourbridge 6c 136. In 1911 Samuel was in Parkgate, Rawmarsh, as brother in law of Samuel Holden (22) whose wife was Sarah (23). Samuel Holden married Sarah Shaw Jul-Sep 1909, Rotherham 9c 1164. Younger siblings Herbert and Emily Shaw were inmates in a (workhouse?) school in Upper Swinford in Worcestershire in 1911. I haven't found George so far, or what happened to Richard. I hope this is the correct family.
