Jonathan Spicer Owston Stow wills 1768/364 (1766-71) written 2 Feb 1758 pr 8 Jun 1768

This is the last Will and Testament of me Jonathan Spicer of the Parish of Owston in the County of Lincoln Waterman and J.. the Same in the Manner Following (that is to say) first I recommend my Soul unto the Hands of Almighty God who gave it, and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently interred at the descretion of my Executrix and Executor herein after Named, And as to my Worldly Estate, I despose thereof as followeth, I give and Devise unto Ann my Beloved Wife my Cottage House now in the Occupation of John Wood, and once half Acre of Hemp Land lying in plow commonly called Enidyke in the Occupation of John Holmes, both in the said parish of Owston during her Natural Life and after her Natural Life is Expired I give and Devise this Said House and Land to my son Nathaniel Spicer his Heirs and Assigns and I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Spicer the Sum of Ten pounds to be paid Her by my Executrix and Executor as Soon as she Shall Attain the Age of Twenty One years. And to my Daughter Elizabeth Spicer I Bequeath the Sum of ten pounds as Soon as She Shall Attain to this Said Age of Twenty one years And I also give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Spicer the sum of ten pounds to be paid Her as Soon as She Shall Attain to the said age of Twenty One years, And lastly as to my K.... Sloop, Goods, Chattels, with all other properties of what Kind or Nature soever to me appertaining I give and Bequeath to my said Beloved Wife Ann Spicer and my Said Son Nathaniel Spicer whom I constitute and Appoint the Whole and Sole Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament, And I do hereby utterly revoke disallow and disannul all forms, Bequests, Wills, and Legacies by me heretofore in any wise left or made declaring ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal this Second Day of February In the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Eight

Elizabeth Spicer Owston Stow wills 1807/44 written 31 Jul 1793 pr 23 Apr1807


This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Spicer of West Kinald Ferry in the Parish of Owston County of Lincoln Spinster in Manner of following (That is to say) All and Singular my Good Chattels personal Estate and Effects Whatsoever to me belonging or in anywise appertaining I give Devise and bequeath unto my beloved Nephew Robert Wilkinson Son of Robert Wilkinson of East Ferry in the County of Lincoln aforesaid. And I so hereby nominate and appoint the said Robert Wilkinson whole and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Testatrix Elizabeth Spicer have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Thirty first Day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety three.

Thomas Pettinger Owston Stow wills 1705-10/99 written14 Apr 1706praised be God almighty do this fourtenth day of April make & ordaine this my Last Will & Testament in manner & forme Following;
Imprimis I give Thomas Pettinger my eldest sonn one shilling to be paid him within one yeare after my decease Item I give unto John Pettinger my son five shillings to be paid hime within one year after my decease Item I give unto Alice Pettinger my Loving Wife & unto William Pettinger my sonn my bigger Boate ...ly betwixte them tow & my will is that Alice Pettinger my Wife & William Pettinger my sonn shall be Eaquall shares at repairs of ye Boate also eaqually of shares of ye profits of ye said Boate untill ye said William Pettinger my son do marrey and taike himselefe to ye world but my will is that when William Pettinger my son doth marrey then he shall have ye Boate to himselfe and Alice Pettinger my Wife shall have no parte of ye said Boat but remaind unto William my sonn for Ever Item I give unto James Pettinger my sonn ye sume of five pounds to be him paid within one year after my decease All ye rest of my goods & Chattels which I have not yett disposed of I give and bequeath unto Alice Pettinger my Loving Wife and to Sarah Pettinger my daughter whom I make joynte Executors of this my Last Will & Testament they paiing all my ..... debts and Funerall Expenses In witness hereunto I have sett my hand and seale this fourtenth day of Aprill one Thousand seven hunred & six 1706

In the name of God Amen I Richard Whaplate of Scawtho in the parrish of Scotter and County of Lincoln yeoman being infurmed in body but of sound and perfect memory praised be God for the same doth make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner as following first I bequeath my soul unto the handes of Allmighty God my Creator assueredly hopeing that in and through the merits and medeator of my blessed saviour I shall attain to a .. .y resurrection and I give my body to the Earth from whence it was taken to be desently intered at the descreson of mye Executor hereinafter named and as to my temporal estate I despose of it as followeth

In the Name of God Amen I Paul Wilkinson of West Kinnal Ferry in the Parish of Owston and County of Lincoln Yeoman, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following First I give and Devise all my ... Arable Lands lying Despersedly in the open field ... Owston aforesaid and also all my Copyhold land and Meadow Ground lying dispersedly, in the said open fields in the parish of Owston aforesaid; in the Mannor of Epworth which I have given by Surrender to the use of this Will unto my Nephew Robert Wilkinson and his wife Ann Wilkinson and to the survivor of them during his and her Natural life and lives to be by them fully enjoyed after my decease Then my Will is that after the Decease of my said Nephew Robert Wilkinson and his Wife Ann I give an bequeath all the aforesaid freehold and Copyhold Lands and Meadow Grounds to my great Nephew Robert Wilkinson Son of the said Robert Wilkinson his Heirs and Assigns forever.
