Hi, I have just added my Gedcom to the site, (after an hour of finally working out how to add it, I think I was having a dumb moment!) but have added the whole of me family instead of just the 'Axholme' lot, does this matter?? Should I delete family members who are not from the area?

Hi Lisa, I don't think it matters at all, the idea is that their roots exist in Axholme through marriages one way or t'other. BTW I merged a few of your additions to eliminate duplicates and a few improved (?) connections are made. But George Chafer is a bit mysterious?

Thanks for your reply, thats ok then, it stays as it is., though I may just need to edit a few people.
I was chuffed to bits to see photos of Mary Ann Chafer and Charles Holgate ( my 3rd Great Grandparents) on the site, as I do not have any photos of them myself.

What a small world it really is!

Please help the Administrator by uploading your own GEDCOM files. If it is too daunting then just email your file to the address on our Home page and we will upload for you

Hi Max
Export a GEDCOM file from your genealogy sharing website/program onto your desktop, then on Red1st.com under Administration > Import GEDCOM choose file from your desktop, select "Add all records and attach new IDs" and hit the import button. It may leave a lot of duplicates on the site which you or we can "Merge" (see Administration > People). Or just forward the GEDCOM to us!
Regards
Adrian
ps. be sure to include Sources on your records (see separate Forum topic)

Hi, I've just added my Gedcom file to the site. I'm not good at adding my sources but I never throw anything away so I have them all. Is it possible to add sources later to fill any gaps?
Regards, Keith
